Who is responsible

In short

Visiting the website

Our servers record technical data for each request (IP address, time, page requested, browser type). We use it only to run the site securely and to find errors, and keep it no longer than necessary. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your browser stores a few settings locally on your device — for example your language, the translations of the page, and a referral code if you came through an independent business developer’s link (kept for 90 days). These stay on your device and are not cookies used for tracking.

Fonts, maps and QR codes

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and show maps from Google Maps; QR codes may be generated by qrserver.com. When these load, your browser connects to those providers and they receive your IP address. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a readable, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The free Google check

When you type a business name, we send that search to the Google Places service to fetch the public rating and reviews. We keep the result for a few hours so repeated searches are fast. Please search for businesses, not for private persons.

Voice and translation

Spoken audio (Idjinn’s voice) and page translations are created by OpenAI from the text on the page. We send page text, not your personal data. Results are stored on our server so the same text is not sent twice.

Customers of Renomex (businesses)

When a business uses Renomex, we process its account details, billing information and the contact details of its own customers that the business adds, in order to send review requests by WhatsApp (Meta), text message or email. For its customers’ data the business is the controller and we act as its processor. A data processing agreement is available on request at privacy@renomex.app. Businesses may only add customers they are allowed to contact.

Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not see or store card numbers.

People who receive a review request

If a business you visited asked you for a review through Renomex, we received your name and phone number or email from that business, only to send you the request. If you choose to send a private note, we pass it to that business. Each request gets a receipt code with a fingerprint so it can be checked later. To stop receiving requests, use the link in the message or write to us.

Independent business developers

If you apply to become an independent business developer, we process your application details. Applications are first assessed with the help of AI; you can ask at any time for a person to review the decision.

Service providers and transfers

We use carefully chosen providers for hosting, email, payments (Stripe), messaging (Meta/WhatsApp), maps and business data (Google) and voice/translation (OpenAI). Some of them process data in the USA. Where this applies, transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires (for example invoices). Then it is deleted.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interests. You can withdraw any consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Write to privacy@renomex.app.
